Denise Hajjar presents her Fall 2009 Collection at The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel
by Ian L.

Another highly anticipated show for Boston Fashion Week comes from local designer Denise Hajjar. Denise is once again showing at the exclusive Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel where she is the designer in residence and where she also has a boutique.

No stranger to working with charities, Denise has partnered up with the Boston chapter of Dress for Success. Dress for Success is a non-for-profit international organization that helps out women in need. They provide professional work attire, career training, and educational support for many underprivileged women in order to help them achieve economic success and independence. Guests at the fashion show were urged to donate work appropriate apparel and accessories to the organization.

On the runway, Denise presented a beautiful collection of classic, timeless and very stylish lady-like apparel. It was also a fun collection, full of vibrant colors and available in a wide range of fabrics from leather and tweed to silk and furs. Denise designs for the modern professional woman that likes to feel good with what she wears.

Some of my favorites for this season included coats made of wood grain printed fabric matched with  stylish gold and orange belts as well as lime green green coats and olive and white tweed jackets. I also loved the eveningwear, especially the silver and red silk dress with matching shawl. The bright red evening dresses are also must haves.

Denise Hajjar's fashion show brought in a full house and Denise enjoyed her partnership with Dress for Success. She hopes to continue that partnership in other upcoming fashion projects.
