Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York:
Herve Leger by Max Azria Fall 2010 Collection

The iconic bandage dress that began with Herve Leger could have been a one hit wonder but instead it became a multi-hit star. Under the guidance of designers Max and Lubov Azria, the bandage dress is continually a sought after item for the red carpet by starlets and socialites alike.

Each season, Max and Lubov Azria provide their own interpretation on the bandage dress adding elements such as beading, embroidery, ruffles and trims, not to mention various fabrics.

The theme for Fall of 2010 is about speed and street athleticism. The dresses had elements of laces, graphics and mesh, giving an overall sleek and sporty look. The colors were mostly white and black with occasional pale tones of beige and lavender. There were one or two dresses with a patch of silver on mostly black that reminded one of ice skating ensembles.

Variations on a classic theme: Max Azria never strays from the form fitting bandage silhouette began by Herve Leger.
