Daniela Corte presents Urban Oasis for Boston Fashion Week 2009

Daniela Corte has been a part of the Boston fashion scene for almost a decade now. In that time, the Argentine born mother of two has steadily grown her ready-to-wear business to include swimwear and baby wear. Local clients love her creative, feminine and flirty offerings and one can't help but become fast friends with the young designer thanks to her charm and easy going manner.
Daniela is a favorite on the Boston fashion scene and guests easily filled up her latest show for Boston Fashion Week 2009 entitled Urban Oasis. Held at The Loft in Boston's Seaport District, guests got a good look of Daniela's current Fall 2009 collection as well as her upcoming Spring 2010 collection.
Introducing her show were Daniela's good friends Gretta Monahan, owner of Gretta Cole salons and Gretta Luxe boutiques, Boston Real Estate specialist Ricardo Rodriguez, and Alexandra Hall of Fashion Boston.
I loved a lot of the pieces shown at the collection. Some of my personal favorites were the short gold cocktail dresses, the black and brown skinny leather pants and the black halter top dress with long black tassels at the hem. The tops and jackets showed some interesting shapes and cuts. The color pallet for Spring 2010 included shades of violet, lavender, magenta, green and white. Large floral prints were in abundance.
Daniela Corte's fashions are available at a few select boutiques in Boston which includes Stil, Gretta Luxe and Serenella Boston. Some (but not all) of her collection is available online. Daniela hopes to take her business to the next level. She recently showed her collection at the Coterie trade show in New York during this last New York Fashion Week.
Hopefully there is interest. Areas such as the West Coast or Florida would be a prefect fit for her designs which has strong resort themes. I can only wish for her success. I think her work is too good to be kept a secret in Boston forever.
